   ▪    Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CCBVI)
·Job Details
   ▪    Under the supervision of the Director of Client Services, the AT Instructor develops and implements individualized programs of instruction in adaptive computers consistent with the mission of the Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
·Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
   ▪    Assess client’s needs and develop plans for addressing needs consistent with client’s abilities, objectives and goals
   ▪    Assess and train clients remotely on products and software using CCBVI equipment at the agency’s location
   ▪    Implement plans of individualized instruction – including lesson plans, case notes, detailed client reports, etc.
   ▪    Evaluate client’s progress, maintain comprehensive records and prepare required reports in a timely fashion
   ▪    Make recommendations for client’s continued progress
   ▪    Maintain effective communication via e-mail and work phone multiple times during scheduled shift
   ▪    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other agencies working on behalf of clients
   ▪    Cooperate and consult with Center staff, professional disciplines, appropriate community resources, volunteers and significant others who are working professionally on behalf of the clients
   ▪    Consult with supervisor to obtain approval for program expenditures
   ▪    Keep abreast of current technological and educational developments on the equipment provided in the field
   ▪    Keep abreast of agency and ancillary programs
   ▪    Adhere to agency policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
   ▪    Attend and participate in staff meetings
   ▪    Assist with any task deemed necessary to the operation of the Center as assigned
·Minimum Qualifications:
   ▪    High school diploma 
   ▪    Current certification in JAWS®, ZoomText and/or other related accessible computer programs
   ▪    Knowledge of current accessible computer programs, JAWS®, ZoomText etc.
   ▪    Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
   ▪    One year teaching assistive technology to people who are blind or visually impaired
   ▪    Ability to represent Center in a professional manner and communicate effectively with diverse populations
   ▪    Excellent time management skills
   ▪    Superior organizational skills; ability to multitask and realign priorities based on agency and clients’ needs
   ▪    Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and standard first aid
   ▪    Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings as well as fingerprint and background checks
   ▪    Bondable
