Friends,

Just want to wish you all a happy World Braille Day. We’re of course celebrating at the Jernigan Institute with a live Presidential Release tonight if you want to join—Zoom is available. Braille has enabled so many blind people to start our independence journeys. I started learning Braille when I was four, while I was learning English, but it’s never too late.

Jamie Crane wrote a great blog piece for us on her experiences learning Braille. I’m really proud to publish her piece. You can find her article here: https://www.facebook.com/share/qT3Lovv8h9ZyXCiC/?mibextid=WC7FNe

Fun fact: today is the 215th World Braille Day. And of course, since the Federation believes that Braille is still useful and relevant, we came up with 215 ways to use it. You can find the complete list at braille.day.

Happy Brailing,
Cricket
