I’m reaching out to tell you about our next advocacy webinar, scheduled for Friday, February 2, at 2 P.M.. We’ll be discussing the denials and other barriers to equal access that guide dog handlers in the U.S. and Canada are facing when using rideshare services. We’ll start with a refresher on your rights and responsibilities when using rideshares. Then we’ll talk about proactive steps you can take before an access issue occurs and what you can do when it does happen. We’ll open up the floor for dialogue and questions. This is an area where we need to work together as a community. Please come join us and feel free to share the announcement with any guide dog handler you think could benefit, whether they are a Seeing Eye graduate or not. We’ll see you there on Zoom!
