National Convention
July 6, through 11, 2021
Will be Held via ZOOM
Registration is free and is open at this time.
You may choose to give a donation as well.
 
Scholarship Committee
Chairperson: Arietta Woods
There are no current reports
However, Addy Moore made a donation of $100
National Scholarship application should be submitted no later  than May 31, 2021
More donations are appreciated and encouraged

These scholarship winners are doing very well in the University
 
Fund Raiser Committee

There are no current reports
However, this committee is being encouraged to create new ways to raise money for the chapter
These ideas will be reviewed and shared with Tina Thomas 
 
New Members/Chapter Development Committee
Chairman: Michael Richardson
The Group Meet Text was sent by Michael Richardson
The attempt  was to easily send group text to multiple members of the Group Meet 
However, this app will not be utilized 
The mention of the Group Meet was to give members a heads up about who sent the group text
 
Outreach Committee 
Chairperson: Tina Thomas
Reception Review
The reception was great it involved a lot of venders and there was a great amount of positive feed back
WE need to work on ZOOM attendance and proficiency 
There will be more ZOOM training available to all members who need one on one, or would like to enhance their ZOOM skills
 
There will be assistance available to all members who would like to take the vaccine and need assistance making an appointment to do so.
 
 
The National Federation of the Blind has made sexual misconduct legislation, and meetings available for all who need 
 
Presidential release is on YouTube, or go to NFB.org

California is now in the red tier. However, all are encouraged to wear mask, and get vaccinated

Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic the 
National Federation of the Blind State convention will be held through ZOOM
 
The Washington seminar assembly Bills will be sent out by Tina Thomas through our list serve
More information will be available through Tina Thomas during our next meeting
 
Once these are received please be sure to contact your local legislator.
 
Vaccines are now being given to persons who have underline conditions
No proof necessary
 
May15, 2021 everyone will be able to receive the vaccine
 
AIRA 
Is now on hold for free services
 
 
Our chapter President will undergo cancer surgery next week 
Our prayers go with her
