Committee Reports:
 
Scholarship Committee
Chairperson: Arietta Woods
Scholarship Committee has met and decided that due to the pandemic the Scholarship committee will not hold its annual luncheon
However, all donations to this committee are welcome
Current balance: 1,678.07
The goal for this committee is $2,000 or more
Please help this committee reach its goal by donating any amount
The Scholarship Committee offers $500 to students who are in their second year of college, and have a GPA of 3.0 
The student must live in the Los Angeles County
Applications for these scholarships may be submitted
May31, 2022 through August 31, 2022

Social Committee:
Chairperson: Ruthie Houston
Due to the pandemic the chapter is not meeting in person
At this time. More information will be available later
Therefore, there is currently no report
 
Out Reach Committee
Chairperson: Tina Thomas
The current ZOOM meeting was attended by all members
This ZOOM meeting was a success!
All members are encouraged to continue practice using the ZOOM platform to attend meetings

Annual End of the Summer Chapter Bar-B-Q!
Date: August 28, 2021
Time: 12noon to 5pm
Those who are assisting with set up should be present no later than 10am

All Members: 15 Dollars
Guest: 20 Dollars
All members are being asked to donate new or lightly used items for the annual auction
All funds collected will go to the Pathfinder Chapter
If you do not have any items to donate

NFB Updates:
The National Federation of the Blind is asking that all members contact their
House Representatives and Senators
Concerning the Accessible Technology Affordability Act
This Act will Allow a tax credit of up to $2,000 to go to those blind or visually impaired persons who have purchased accessible technology devices for home, school, or work
It is currently in the house under
Hr431
WE have 86 Representatives who are willing to Co-Sponsor this bill
We need 109 to Co-Sponsor this bill in order to pass
