National Federation of the Blind 

National Convention

Will be held July 6 through 10, 2021 via ZOOM

All members are being asked to register for this convention no later than
May 31, 2021

Registration is free at this time. However, donations are welcome

When you donate $20 or more you will qualify for a raffle that may include
an all expenses paid trip to the following National convention

The more times you donate the closer to the winning place you become

State Convention

Will be held via ZOOM this year due to the pandemic\

More information will be available later this year

 

All members are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the 

National Federation Brand, Pledge, Policy, Promise, and Personality

 

Committee Reports

Social Committee 

Chairperson: Ruthie Houston

No Report due to the pandemic

 

Fund Raising Committee

Chairperson: Charlotte Carroll

Eucalyptus Park reservations are currently on hold; due to the pandemic 

Reservations will open once again June  1,2021 

WCLC has no current information about reopening anytime soon. When this
information becomes available it will be shared with the chapter

 

Chapter Development Committee

Chairman: Michael Richardson

This Committee is dedicating assistance that will help register members of
the chapter if needed

Because most meetings are being held via ZOOM; all members are being asked
to participate in ZOOM Training that is currently available through this
Committee

There was a mention concerning a physical meeting at President Rochelle
Houston's home 

Due to the pandemic we have not been able to meet physically. This gathering
will allow the chapter members to meet in person for the first time in over
one year.

 

Outreach Committee

Chairperson: Tina Thomas

This Committee is also offering services that will train members on the ZOOM
platform

These services are free and all members are encouraged to participate

This Committee is also offering services that will assist members to
register for the National Federation Convention online

assistance

 

Scholarship Committee

Chairperson: Arietta Woods

Gives appreciation for all donations

The goal of $2,000 is almost reached

There is $1,678 currently available in the Scholarship fund

Thanks again for all donations

This Committee is currently placing all other activities on hold due to the
pandemic

However, when more information is available the chapter will be notified
