Hello Pathfinder Chapter Member’s,
The fox family foundation is sponsoring a fair, and they will be giving eye exams and free glasses. The coordinator would like the national Federation of the blind to have a table at this fair. If anyone would like to go with me and be a part of this fear, please let me know. We will have a table at the fair. If you have any literature, please let me know. Thanks.

> the Fox Family Foundation sponsors the foundations Vision Fair.
>
> The Vision Fair will take place on October 15, 2022, from 9 AM to 5 PM, at Cal State University Los Angeles,5151 State University Drive Parking Lot 5, Los Angeles, CA 90032.
> For those who use public transportation, they can catch a bus or train from Union Station to Cal State University Los Angeles.
> We are providing free shuttle from the Cal State LA Bus / Train stop to our event location for those who need it. In addition, Access Paratransit LA is establishing a temporary one day drop off and return pick up stand at our event for those who use this service. Riders must inform the Access reservationist that they want to be dropped and picked up at parking lot 5.
> We will be providing free vision screenings for all who attend, children, adults and seniors.
> The Foundation Fighting Blindness will speak on how to prevent blindness and fight against vision loss. Vision To Learn and the Jules Stein Eye Institute, will provide free vision screenings to children ages 3 to 18 years old.
> The Southern California Eye Institute, Tzu Chi Medical Foundation and the Raymond Renaissance Surgery Center will provide free adult screenings, to all adults and seniors.
> Those attendees who get screened and require glasses will be fitted for them and/or receive a prescription for new glasses. Our aim is to give away as many pairs of glasses as possible. We are particularly targeting young people and seniors with risk of vision loss, due to retinal blastoma (cancer of the retina), glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal pigmentosa and macular degeneration and other eye maladies. We hope to provide early vision screenings for at risk demographics that are at a higher risk of suffering permanent vision loss because they lack insurance to get routine vision screenings.
> Every year on this day, eye screening events are held across the world to help fight vision loss.
> Our aim is to bring vision health awareness to underserved communities, raise awareness of the importance of eye health, and foster community-building opportunities. There will also be activities for the family to participate in.
> Learn about available programs from the National Federation of the Blind, California Council of the Blind, Hearts 4 Sight, California Department of Rehabilitation, as well as a judo demonstration by Sports and Recreation for the Blind, yoga demonstration for the blind and many more.
> I am purchasing a limited number of blind white canes to be provided to those who need them.
> I want to invite you and all your family to our event. In addition, I hope you can share our event with your friends, neighbors and community. Please check out our website, Visionfair.org, for more information. I have added our digitally accessible flyer for the Fox Family Foundation Vision Fair in multiple languages for you to distribute to the specific demographics in your community.
> We would appreciate your help in spreading the word about the Fox Family Foundation Vision Fair.
