Good evening to all SFV Chapter members,

First of all, thank you so much to all that came and volunteered at the recent Best In Tech Conference. Thank you so much as well to all members that attended the event. We truly appreciated that you took the time to come on a Saturday morning and helped in ushering attendees to their respective workshops, assisted in manning the NFB SFV table and speaking to all that came by, selling raffle tickets and other items we have for sale, and assisting with food distribution and other tasks. Even if you did not get to volunteer, your presence is very much appreciated as well for the Best In Tech would not be successful without attendees like you. I do hope you had an opportunity to say hello and visit all our vendors this year and that you enjoyed the main presentation.

Now that Best In Tech is over for this year, are we all looking forward to the chapter holiday party? Are we looking forward to meeting our adopted student for this year?

Our chosen adopted child / student is Jennifer De Los Santos. We will meet Jenny on Saturday at our holiday party along with her parents and three siblings: Malinaly, Benjamin and Moises. Jenny's parents' names are Benjamin and Usinia De Los Santos.

At the most recent chapter meeting, we voted to get Jenny her Christmas wish, an iPad.

For the benefits of those who were not able to attend the most recent chapter meeting, Robert Stigile is purchasing in advance the iPad Air on behalf of the chapter, and we voted to contribute towards the purchase of that device. If you wish to participate in this Adopt A Student for the Holiday program of the chapter, you may contribute as low as $5.00 up to $20.00. Joy or Robert will collect your contributions in the January meeting.

A little bit about Jenny: Jennifer is 18-years-old and a senior in high school at Granada Hills High School. She also attends the Academy of Music just like the three previous adopted children we had in the past three years. Jenny hopes to attend Pierce College for her general education after high school and wishes to major in psychology and attend UC Riverside for her advance classes. As mentioned she has three siblings: 13-year-old Malinaly and twin brothers, Benjamin and Moises who are 9. If you wish to purchase presents for the siblings, Jenny said that Benjamin likes drawing, painting, working with clay -anything to do with arts and crafts. Moises really likes sports specifically playing soccer. His t-shirt size is large youth. He also collects soccer balls and enjoys playing video games. Jenny's younger sister Malinaly also likes playing soccer. Jenny suggested that her sister might like a soccer t-shirt (women's Medium adult). Purchasing presents for the siblings is up to you.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday! Thank you so much in advance for your participation to this program. Let's all welcome our adopted child / student his year and her family.
