Hello all,

The San Fernando Valley chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of
California is hosting another CPR, First Aid and AED (Automated Electronic
Defibrillator) training session. Captain Stacy Gerlich of the L A Fired
Department and a certified instructor and very active member of the Crisis
Emergency Response Team is facilitating this workshop for us.

When:

Saturday, October 28, 2017 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The class will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, so please plan to arrive by 12:30
PM or earlier. Be ready to have 4hours of actual class time including some
short breaks in between. If you're coming via Access, or other private
transportation, please be sure to schedule them to pick you up no earlier
than 5:00PM.

Where:

Tarzana Medical Center - North Conference Center (Building B)

18321 Clark St. (nearest cross street is Reseda Blvd)

Tarzana CA 91356

* see below for specific directions

Attire:

Be ready to get down on the floor and to move around, so please wear
comfortable clothing. We will be working with manikins and will learn how to
dress simple wounds, etc.

Cost of Certification:

There is a fee of $20.00 per person for certification. Please bring exact
amount in cash with you on the day of event.

Food/snacks:

Since this training session will be shorter than previous ones, there will
be shorter breaks. Please bring any snacks and drinks, (if you need them),
to be consumed during a short break.

How to RSVP / sign up:

Please contact Racquel Decipeda directly to sign up/RSVP for the training.

Via Email: racquelmd29 at hotmail.com <mailto:racquelmd29 at hotmail.com> or
call: 818-457-1482

We can only accommodate a maximum of 25 people so availability is limited;
please email or call no later than October 25.

*Please note the following instructions that should make it easier for you
to find our meeting location:

There are 2 ways to enter the hospital complex, either from Clark St. or
Burbank Blvd. Please give the following instructions to your driver.

If entering from Clark St., continue straight, bypassing the hospital main
entrance and the Women's Pavilion. When you reach the end of the building,
which should be on your right hand side, turn right into the parking lot
which is in front of the North Conference Center (Building B) and look for
the entrance.

If entering from Burbank Blvd., continue straight through the parking gate
until reaching a parking structure, which will be slightly to your right. At
that point, keep to the left which should lead into the parking lot in front
of the North Conference Center Building B then look for the entrance.
