Hi everybody! The Adopt-A-Student committee has chosen Saul Valadez as
our recipient. In brief, Saul is 14 years old and blind. He is a
freshman in high school, loves music and eating/preparing healthy
foods. Saul lives with his parents Alejandra and Jesus and his 8 year
old brother Omar. His family would be happy to jopin us at our holiday
party. They are very appreciative of what the chapter is doing for
Saul.
I've asked Joe and Sharon to submit the committee report to you since
I am unable to be at the meeting. A big thank you to both!
The following is the text version of Saul's application submitted by
his former teacher, Linda Eaves. Have a great meeting!

I want to live somewhere where
I can have a big house with 4
bedrooms. I would like to live in
a 2-story house so my family
and I could have parties. I want
to have a job where I could
make sandwiches for people. I
hope when I get my house, we
can have lots of flowers that
smell beautiful. Also, I wish my
house would have a big garage
to fit 3 cars. I would be happy if
my house had a big laundry
room so I could wash and dry
and fold everyone's clothes.
Playing music and learning new
songs and learning how to play
new instruments makes me feel
excited. I hope I can continue
learning about music.
