Hello all,

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

As per our conversation last Friday during the social hangout conference call, below are the ingredients and instructions on how to make your own hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, Disinfectant wipes and sugar scrub. This was a topic discussed during a meeting I attended hosted by the NFB of Colorado.

Hand sanitizer
You will need:
3 Parts isopropyl alcohol (you can substitute 140 proof Everclear)
1 Part aloe Vera gel
Essential oil as desired (tea tree, eucalyptus, or lavender have antibacterial properties)
Container for storage

Instructions:
Mix 3 parts isopropyl alcohol to 1 part aloe vera gel. Add Tea tree oil or other essential oil, if desired.

Disinfectant Spray
Ingredients:
12 fluid ounces of isopropyl alcohol
2 teaspoons of glycerol or glycerin, for moister
1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide
3 oz. distilled water (substitute boiled and cooled water)
Few drops of essential oil
Pro tip: consider using oil other than lavender so that your disinfectant spray stands out :)
Spray bottle

Directions:
Add all to spray bottle.

Disinfectant wipes
You will need:
1 roll paper towel,
1 tablespoon bleach
If you do not want to use bleach, use a different disinfectant cleaner, such as Mr. Clean, Pine-sol, Lysol, but make sure it is a disinfectant. Vinegar and baking soda are not disinfectants.
2 Cups water
Serrated edge kitchen knife

Directions:
cut paper towels in half with serrated edge kitchen knife.
Mix 1 tablespoon bleach to 2 cups water
Place each side of paper towel roll into a air tight container. If you are using a tall container, it can be used as a dispenser. If flat container, make sure lid is sealed after each use.
Pull out cardboard center and discard.
Pour water solution over the paper towels and leave to absorb.

Sugar scrub
You will need:
1/2 granulated sugar
1/2 Cup coconut oil
10-12 drops essential oil if your choice
(Peppermint, lemon, orange, lavender, or any of your choice
Some oil blends are
Grapefruit and peppermint
Rose and vanilla
Peach and ginger
Be creative with oils
8 oz jar with lid

Directions:
Melt coconut oil to blend better
Mix all ingredients.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Nancy
