Joe shared his cycling experience with the Blind Stokers Club located in
North San Diego. For those who enjoys being outside cycling, it's free to
join. He will send the info in our list serve.

Another announcement that Joe made was about the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
As of Monday, they will be on the "Be My Eyes" App. You can go to this app
and log in in to work with their guide dog handlers through video.

Nancy also added that the "Be My Eyes" app are now signing up more with
companies. Sample companies that had signed up for specialized help are:
Tide and Gain laundry detergent and other companies that have cleaning
products. If you have any questions about those products, you can always use
this App.

Robert's first announcement was about the CAGDU (California Guide Dogs

he'll send you the link if you are interested to join.

After that, if you are unable to pay, you will become an inactive member.
Please get in touch with him or Malik for your membership dues.

scholarship form is now available to apply. The deadline for this is on
October 10th and you will be notified if you are a finalist or not by

Robert discussed the door prizes through Amazon. To learn on how to do it
please reach out to him.

State Convention auction basket.

There are 2 choices, either we can do an Amazon wish list or we can find a
basket that we can put together and have it shipped out. Robert offered
Nancy to handle and be in charge of it. So, Nancy asked the Chapter members
if the Amazon wish list will be a good idea. A reminder will be sent out in
this list serve for the auction basket conference call. Set date for it will
be on September 16, Wednesday at 8 pm.

Fundraising.

Joy discussed a fundraiser that we can do either virtual or conference
call. She's been speaking with Marcine Campbell, a representative of
Pampered chef. She has been doing parties before with online and in person.
She had agreed to do it with us again on October 10 after our Chapter
meeting. It will be through Zoom. Juanita offered to be the Zoom host and
will send it out this week. Then Joy needs a consensus from Chapter members
as to what time. Either we can do it at 1 pm, 2 pm or3 pm. Nancy suggested 2
pm. Marcine will do a presentation for at least 30 minutes and she's open
for a question and answer after. You can call her if you need her help in
placing an order or you can do it online yourself. The link for placing
online order with the Zoom link information will be sent out in this list
serve.

Last item in our meeting, Veronica talked about the Parents of Blind
Children Division. jeanette Jones is the President of the Division and
they were going around different Chapter meetings to give out information
about the division. If anyone is interested in joining, they meet on the
3rd Monday every month via Zoom at 7 pm. They are also in Facebook and it's
CA Parents of Blind children. They are planning to have an agenda for the
State convention. They will have the meeting with guest speaker on that
Saturday at 9 am. Dues are $5 per year if you want to be a member.
Information will be posted in the list serve. For any questions, you can
