Hi All, just sharing an opportunity for Sony Play Station testers needed. Looks like their looking for hearing impaired testers for now, but later on they may need people with visual impairments later on.

Please share if appropriate.
Best.

Subject: New Sony Playtesting for Disabled Gamers

Hi Joe,

I hope that you are doing well and had a good summer. I wanted to email because PlayStation is starting to ramp up accessibility playtesting this fall across several studios and is looking for disabled gamers to participate. All studios require employees and playtest participants to be vaccinated.

The first project would be a longer playtest (2-weeks) in Santa Monica and they are looking for gamers with hearing disabilities that impact their ability to have a full gameplay experience. The test would run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday the weeks of October 18th and 25th. Lunch would be provided all 10 days and participants would receive $1400 for their time.

The other ongoing project that they have is currently taking place in San Mateo, but is likely to spread to San Diego, Santa Monica, and San Francisco. They are asking for disabled testers whose disability requires adjustments when they play games (could be hearing, vision, fine motor impairment, etc) They are trying to be flexible and asking when people might be able to come playtest in October or December. Participants could let us know how many days they think they can spare to show up for a playtest, and we will work with them to figure out a schedule that will work. Their incentive would be based on the number of hours or days that they playtest.

I expect more projects to come along as more and more Sony offices have been reaching out to me about accessibility testing. If you know anyone in Northern or Southern California that might be interested, or part of a community that would like to take advantage of the opportunity, please let me know.

Thanks again!

Justin
