 Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area (SRA) Hiking with Hearts For Sight Sunday, February 20, 2022   Meeting Time: 8:30 AM   Meeting Location: Stoneview Nature Center 5950 Stoneview Dr., Culver City, CA 90232.  Take a hike with HFS to Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area (KHSRA) in Baldwin Hills. We will meet at Stoneview Nature Center, cross La Cienega on a new steel bridge, then take a tour around the park. The whole hike will be about 4.5 miles, with about 400 feet of gain, mostly in one long hill. There are lovely spots to stop along the way, so this hike is suitable for people of any fitness level, but a little hard on bad knees. Wear comfortable shoes, layers of clothing because it could be hot or cold or both, and a hat, with a day pack big enough to carry everything. Loaner equipment available; just ask. Bring at least one liter of water, along with snacks and lunch. Only guide or service dogs are allowed. Stoneview’s bathrooms are open for the public, and there are places to sit while waiting. Please schedule Access Services pickups after 1:30 PM. The hike will be cancelled in case of rain predicted the night before. If you have been tested positive for COVID-19 or feel ill, please just stay home. We advise you bring masks and hand sanitizers. RSVP is required.
