Hi everyone! Good zooming with you the other day! Here is additional
information regarding my Wordpress alt-text announcement.

As you know, I am one of the folks asked to fill a co-host position for
Wordpress San Fernando Valley Meet-up. We are an official, approved
Wordpress group! Historically, SFV has focused on Accessibility. However,
Accessibility is not only the front-facing part we all experience, but it's
also mandatory on the back-end where developers, that is, coders,  control
what happens.

Our next meet-up is on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 7:00 PM, Pacific.
The subject matter is Alt-Text and how it is used in Search Engine
Optimization (S.E.O.) While developers know alt-text is required by A.D.A.
rules, and they do the best they can, they may not know how we experience
it using various tools. How you use it, and what you expect is unique to
you! Would you expect more descriptions on a graphic story where the author
uses her drawings and text to tell her story? This is where you can help!
Share with web developers and designers what would make alt-text useful and
a good experience for you. Heck, you might also share what drives you nuts
on a website and why. We aren't restricted to any particular topic. It's
fun to start off with one and have the conversation spark new ideas and
questions.

Please reply back to me if you can  help us out. One of the co-hosts, Ron,
is donating his Zoom account so we can have this Meet-up. It would be a
courtesy to him to know who to expect. This way he would know you are an
invited guest. If you don't rsvp and decide at the last minute you can drop
in, go ahead and join us. I'll try to watch the waiting room, but must
admit I'm not as fast as others.
