Technology is evolving incredibly fast, and as the developers at Mediate, we are working hard to keep up with the latest developments and turn them into something useful for the blind community. Supersense app was one of the outcomes of these efforts, and we are very happy with how it turned out. </p><p class="text-build-content" style="line-height: 29px; margin: 10px 0;" data-testid="iYb_Uu-hlR">Now we have other news that we hope you will like as much as we do. We have developed a new app,<b> Super Lidar, that employs the latest lidar technology made consumer-friendly by the latest Apple iPhone 12 Pro and new generation iPad Pro</b>. Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) is a type of laser scanner that detects distance and depth. Until now, lidar was an expensive tool to be used in consumer products, but the latest developments let us squeeze it into our handheld devices. </p><p class="text-build-content" style="line-height: 29px; margin: 10px 0;" data-testid="iYb_Uu-hlR">Based on this technology, Super Lidar is designed to let blind and visually impaired people find out how far they are from the obstacles around them by giving real-time sound feedback. Moreover, it helps to detect if there are people around, and in these days of the global pandemic, it checks if these people are wearing a mask to make outside walks safer.
