</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--><div class="WordSection1"><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Please join our struggle to protect Disability Rights on Tuesday May 23 at U.S. Federal Court in Los Angeles.<span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">I began my fight against the Los Angeles Community College District for accommodations and Disability Rights for disabled students more than 7 years ago.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Although the LACCD continues to receive Federal funding for ADA and Title II Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, they refuse to provide any accountability of how or where they are spending those funds. I have fought to force them to make all text books and class room materials for all persons with disabilities completely accessible, to make their library databases, websites, portals, and learning platforms accessible for every person with a disability, yet they continue to refuse, claiming that they have done nothing wrong.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">If that were the case, then why does LACCD continue to ask for the ADA and Section 504 be undone? Inform every parent or relative of a person with a disability to come join us. We must demonstrate to the court that as persons with disabilities, we will support each other.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">If the LACCD position is allowed to succeed, it will have severe consequences for every person with a disability from Los Angeles to New York, from child to adult to senior. I urge you, please don’t allow them to take away the disability rights from the most vulnerable class of people in our communities.
