[nfbcs] windows media player problems

HI.
now for some stupid reason cannot play .asx from streams for radio stations.
had this problem on my toshiba a300 satellite psa g4a machine.
can play mp3s. but not .asx files.
gets a error all the time.
so how to fix this.
uninstall windows media player or download some codex. using windows vista
home premium.
jaws 10, internet explorer 7.
any help would be fine if you have run into this problem before and this is
the only media player.

ps: jaws 10 got corrupted and version 9 not reading.
so did a system restore back to april 19.
did not go back any further then that when i was trying to install real tech
audio drivers.
for my toshiba.
now jaws 10 got repaired.
but still cannot play .asx files.
