[nfbcs] How do you tag someone using facebook?

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how do you tag someone when you write 
a note or upload a photo using facebook?  I was told that there was a list 
that you can look at and check who you want to tag, but when I try to find 
the list, all I see is an edit box for you to type in some names.
Any help would be appreciated.
