You shouldn't need to do a system restore. I'm assuming you are using Windows xP. Just go into Add/remove programs and you will find Windows Internet Explorer as one of the programs you can uninstall.

Subject: [nfbcs] Backing out of IE 7
Last week I updated Internet Explorer to 7.0, but I don't like it. It
puts extra junk up on whatever web page I visit first in the day, and it
acts erratically when I look at my email on the Web. Can I go back to IE
6 if I do a system restore? Is there a good reason to put up with IE 7?
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I don't think so.
Thanks.
Tracy
