I have never tried to set up a "move by paragraph" function in WE and
UltraEdit, because most of the text files I deal with don't have blank
lines in significant places. But I have found on some systems that
UltraEdit is a little slow in scrolling text when you reach the top or
bottom of the screen. So you might try modifying the JAWS scripts for
paragraph movement to introduce some delay before reading begins. Or at
least try a "read current paragraph" function after you move, in order to
see what JAWS is going to read under the correct timing conditions.

I have never tried to use the spell checker.
