[nfbcs] Landmark Navigation in Window-Eyes

Hello Steve and listers,

    Right now they're supported by Jaws and Firefox. If you visit the 
bookshare.org Web site you'll see an example of the use of landmarks. As my 
previous message indicates they can be very useful in permitting users to 
move between page sections such as menus, content pains, footer, the main 
page body, and any other page contents not normally navigated via headers, 
named anchors, etc. I'm in the midst of creating my own Web Site and will 
put up a sample page with landmark navigation for everyone to try out to 
better understand this concept.

I have not heard of landmarks but will check on the Window-Eyes list. 
However, keystrokes that move the virtual
cursor or the cursor in Browse Mode with Window-Eyes are not Windows keys. 
Also, are landmarks a firefox feature in
particular?  I would wonder if it is worth implementing a browser-specific 
solution.  how are these more flexible than the
screen reader place markers?  I am asking not to be critical, but to 
understand.  I gather they are part of the web page
but you said they were user-definable so I'm a little confused.
