Hi,

Do you have the latest update to ZT9? It was my understanding that AI Squared had resolved this issue with the most current ZT 9 update.

Subject: [nfbcs] ID#9 error with ZoomText 9 AppReader and IE-8

Group,

Is anyone else getting an ID#9 error, unable to locate active window, please click on active window and reset AppReader" error message when trying to read a web page in Internet Explorer 8 using ZoomText 9? Over the weekend my Windows XP machine decided it was time to upgrade from IE 7 to IE 8, I chose the standard setup, nothing special (except for not electing to participate in user feedback). I did the usual restart and all. The AppReader works fine in Outlook Express and Word docs, just not with any web pages. I've sent AI Squared a trouble ticket, but haven't heard a response, I can't search the web-based knowledge bank, and ZT's internal help section contains no references to the problem. I even asked someone to send Microsoft and e-mail about the problem, also with no response.

Any ideas or suggestions would be most appriciated,

Patrick
