[nfbcs] winamp chatter

Hi all --
I have lately been plagued by ioccasional chatter from winamp while surfing 
the net.  It sounds like something labeled "winamp" is scrolling around my 
window somewhere causing jaws to chatter, but I don't know why it happens as 
not all the sites it happens on play sound files.
I use both winamp and windows media player, and have my music file 
extensions divided between the 2 players.
Can anyone diagnose why the intrusion of winamp chatter and/or suggest how 
to get rid of it (short of uninstalling winamp)?
Thanks. This is getting very annoying.  The first time it happened I fired 
off an email to a page author saying the page was inaccessible because [of 
it, which she was sorry for, but then it kept happening on other pages as 
well.
Very annoying.
