Dave, knowing who you are and your background I expected more from you.

This simply tests the bandwidth throughput speed of the connection. The rate
it shows is the download speed and if you read the website information it
would have told you that.

This was not suppose to be a all incompassing technical expert speed test.
And I never claimed it to be. It simply sends a 1mb file through and see how
long it takes to download a couple of times.

Most consumers just want to know how fast they can download and it tells
them exactly that.

Sorry it was too, simple for you. You being an expert and all.

Yes, it is easy to use, and accessible -- but I am not sure what it is
actualy telling you because it is so simplified.  Is that upload speed,
download speed, and it talks about measuring WIFI/3G/4G.  It seems to me
that all it can really measure is the slowest link in your system, internet
link, wifi, or other type of connection.
