There is a tool called sendspace wizard, where you can upload
files to
sendspace from your desktop. I haven't tried this yet, but I
downloaded
 it, and it looks accessible.

I've only had my Public folder suspended once, and that was a
very brief
period. In that occasion it was as much about the number of
people
downloading the file as much as the size of the file itself. I
think
there's a way to use Microsoft's storage capacity as well. I
just like
applications that let you manipulate materials directly from
your desktop
 as
opposed to logging onto a website. I think Send Space may also
have this
 option with a paid subscription.

 Best,

 Joe

It probably depends upon one's primary use. I use dropbox to
keep my computers synchronized with the occasional
public file and I've had nothing but good luck with it. It
probably isn't the mechanism one should use if one's primary
purpose is to make files available to the public. Does dropbox
have a specific policy or stated limitation? Jim really
needs to figure out his primary use to determine what works
best.

 Best regards,

 Hi,
Keep in mind, however, that if the public folder is
 overused, you will be
suspended. If dropbox doesn't work for you and you can
 afford it, I'd get
 a sendspace max account.

 Jim,

Don't mess with that nonsense. I've tried it and found it
 more cumbersome
than anything. Instead, use Dropbox at the link below. It
 creates a
 folder
in your computer like any other folder, except everything in
 that folder
 can
be shared with different people according to your
 specifications. There
 is
a special folder in there called "Public" which will let you
 share things
with people who do not have Dropbox. Very easy to use, and
 the website is
accessible for whenever you'd have to go to it on your
 website, though I
rarely do. I have all my computers synce with this service
 for those
 items
I want shared across the board, and if you use the link
 below, we both get
an extra 250 MB in addition to the 2 GB you get for free just
for
 installing
 it. Enjoy!

 Howdy,

Has anyone had luck with the Yousendit service?

If so, can I have some pointers? I've been dinking with this
 for a couple
of hours, trying to send a file, but I can't figure out how to
 upload the
 file I want to send.

 Any ideas would be helpful.

 Jim
