I have had this problem in excel when there are graphs on the same sheet as
the data. I get around this by creating the graph on a different sheet.

Subject: [nfbcs] JAWS and Navigating Office 2003

Dear all,

Recently I've been experiencing an interesting issue with JAWS and Word and
Excel. In Word, if I am editing a document and back track to read the text
either character by character or word by word, JAWS will freeze up. I can
get it to talk again after using Up or Down arrow to read again, but the
problem has quickly become something of an irritation. Also, in Excel, JAWS
will randomly freeze up when I am simply reading cell by cell using all four
arrows. I have not been able to determine a specific reason for why this is
happening. I suppose I could lose my place in order to get JAWS to start
reading again in Word, but navigating around spreadsheets has become
impossible. As the Subject line says, I am using Office 2003 on an XP
system. I've switched between JAWS 10 and JAWS 11, both latest updates.
I've also tried repairing Office and ensuring my display settings are
optimized. Any ideas?

Best,

Joe
