that's annoying -- why would they leave that feature out?
But sightlings get all flustered when you talk about keyboard commands on 
GUI's.  (At least the ones in my family do.)
I solved the problem by uninstalling some programs, which doubled the space 
on my old laptop, so that will buy me some time.

I am currently using Windows Live Mail.  It has some disadvantages over
OUtlook Express but for the most part weems to work pretty well.  The thing
I miss most is first-letter navigation between folders in the folder list.
