[nfbcs] : Office XP on 64-Bit Machine

Hello Doug and everyone,

There are both 32 and 64-bit versions of JAWS that come on the
installation disk. The installer is able to install the correct version of
JAWS for your processor type. If you have a 64-bit machine the 64-bit
version of JAWS will be installed.

Beware one thing though: You can have a 64-bit machine but make sure
you have the 32-bit version of Windows XP. Screen readers will not
work under the 64-bit version of Windows XP as ffar as I know. I am
certain that JAWS won't.

Hello Steve and everyone,

The tech who ran the diagnostic on Mary's machine told us the exact same
thing. If when all is said and done Mary has a dual-core machine with
current versions of software such as a stronger anty virus program,
Microsoft Office, and her own printer we will have turned a lemon in to
lemonade.

Brian,

I should probably know this, but what is CASPER? Assuming it is some kind
of ghosting software, how would one know that your backup wasn't infected?
If you buy a drive, put it in yourself and load Windows, it probably is
cheaper as you say. In the end, if it is an older machine, though, you
don't know if you
are going to have power supply or motherboard problems. If you have to pay
to have this done which many people would have to do, it doesn't take long
before you are into the cost range of a new computer. These viruses and
malware are getting totally ridiculous.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
