Oh yes, it is a good idea to dump your cookies at least once a week. Not all
cookies are bad, but some are. I do not know how it is with IE 6, but, with
later versions, you cannot tell where the cookies come from because they
have nonsense names. You may have to upgrade to a slightly new version of
IE, but I can tell you how to have IE filter which sites to accept cookies
from and which ones to block. Basically, you only want to accept cookies
from sites that you have to log in to or that insist on having cookies to
function correctly. Even then, you still need to dump those cookies
periodically as they do not always delete themselves.

Really? I didn't know frequent cooky deleting was a good thing. Adding it
to list of system maintenance tasks.
I'm using IE 6 and Windows XP. Behind the times, I know, but it works well
for me.
