JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop state of the art information technology network while providing support to SC Commission for the Blind programs. Will assist in the coordination and implementation of the new AWARE System.
Provides advice and direction to agency on purchases of hardware and software; conducts feasibility studies; colletes survey data and compiles and produces survey results; presents written recommendation to management.
Designs and installs hardware configurations. Serves as liaison for problems with automation system; follows through with solutions to problems; trains users and staff. Maintains good relations with agency management officials, vendors and users.
MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in computer science or related area may be substituted for the required work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area. Applicants meeting the preferred qualifications will be given priority consideration.

The South Carolina Commission for the Blind offer these tips when selecting toys for young kids: select toys appropriate for child's age, select toys that don't have sharp, projectile or protruding parts and check to make sure toys meet national safety requirements.
