Hello,
I have found the simplest way for me is to use dropbox to get my
pictures and videos off my iPhone. Dropbox is cloud based allowing you
to share documents, pictures, videos, and other files among your devices.
I have installedthe dropbox program on my computer and the dropbox app
on my iPhone with the using the same dropbox account.
When I set up dropbox for my iPhone I was asked if I wished to upload
photos and videos automatically and I choose yes, and I choose not to
use cellular data to upload. So, now I can just turn on my computer, and
the photos and videos appear in my dropbox in a folder called "Camera
Uploads", sometimes there is a small delay as files sync. It is really
nice to have my pictures are uploaded to the cloud automatically. Then I
don't have think about it, it is just done. It also offers a convenient
backup your pictures.
What else is really nice about dropbox is the ability to share files
among devices. I can add a file to my dropbox from my computer, and use
my the app on my iPhone to open the file. No more emailing files to my
phone. :)
Hope this helps.
