Nichole,
I am only recently blind. I learned Braille 1 & 2 in January.
I still have Chemistry, Biology, & Linear analysis and Statistics to take.
I wanted the Apex for it's Nemeth to Text output ability... so I can do &
turn in my homework.
I saved the long-handed sciences ( except for calculus ) until the end
because they are my weakest.
I'm done with calculus 1 & 2, and Physics 300 & 301.
I even have had Astronomy, Meterology, and all labs... I just need to get
through & be able to go to grad school.
That should merrit an Apex, NO?

: To the best of my knowledge , the largest display that you can get on a
: notetaker is 40 cells, but the BrailleNote does not come in that size.
What
: all do you plan to use the notetaker for? Do you have a computer as well?

: Nichole,
:
: That is precisely what I am having... PROBLEMS with Networking on the
: MPower.
: I think I need to see an Apex... HOWEVER, the question is:
: Braille Keyboard, or QWERTY...
: I "need" an 80-cell display for Math & Calculus & Linear Analysis...
SO...
: In a perfect world, what should I do?
: The Apex might be better in qwerty for me, but it only has a 32 cell, if
I'm
: not mistaken... *sigh*
:
: Decisions decisions...

::
:: Hello all,
::
:: I have borrowed / inherrited an older BrailleNote M Power to play with
to
:: see if I want to consider getting the Apex.
::
:: I am trying to figure out how to connect it to wireless...
:: There are a few characters that I don't know in Braille (or have forgot)
: and
:: was hoping someone would help me with some of them?
::
:: I have to type the SSID for my Network and it is:
:: SDS_NET2.4
:: I know to use U-Chord for Upper Case, but I cannot figure out how to type
:: the underscore.
:: The next question I have is, do do I use dropped (nemeth) numbers after
my
:
: #
:: Sign, or not?
:: I am also supposing that I use 4,6 for the "dot"... correct?
::
:: The other thing is, I have a password in the form:
::
:: Capital,lower,Capital,lower,lower,number,number,exclaimation
:: point,number,capital
::
:: Can someone disambiguate this for me?
::
:: Example, Password = RaBBit35!
:: How would I input that in "Computer Braille"?
::
:: Thanks
:: Ian
