Type "System Restore" or just "Restore" in the search box and one of the
entries you will see is "System Restore". You will be in a dialog box where
various restore points are shown; select one and proceed. The dialog is
fairly obvious. Incidentally, this can be reversed.

Hello Mike,

The problem started today. How do I go to a restore point in Windows
7. Thanks for the help.

Try going to a restore point at which time you know the problem didn't
occur.

afternoon when we attempted to download files the computer dropped out of
Windows and rebooted itself. It keeps doing this whenever we attempt to
access our remote storage or download a file. Otherwise the machine is
behaving normally. Sometimes a hum is heard when the computer reboots but
stops when Windows comes back up. I'm at a loss at what to do to resolve
this issue. This is one of the worst times for something like this to
happen. Any suggestions to stop this behavior so files download normally
would be appreciated. All the best.
