What version of JAWS are you using? With 15, you should not have to restart
JAWS for it to recognize the Braille display.

Subject: [nfbcs] USB A/B switch
Has anyone tried a USB A/B switch with a braille display? It would be
handy, if I could connect my Alva to either of my computers, and switch on
the fly, but the reviews on Amazon of A/B switches said they were pretty
hit-and-miss. Also, when I turn off the Alva and move the cable, I have to
close and restart Jaws to make Jaws see the display again. Would the same
be true with the A/B switch?
Thanks.
Tracy
