[nfbcs] Need help with Microsoft Communicator 2005 and frequent screen refreshing.

I have already scripted Skype for Business 2015 and publicly released
the scripts at http://www.dlee.org/sfb/

I'm sure they are not perfect, and there remains at least one major
issue that must be fixed by Microsoft; but SfB can be used with JAWS.

The major remaining issue for Microsoft is that new chat messages
cause JAWS to think a menu is opening when they arrive. This seems to
require a couple of Alt+Tabs to fix for each new chat line, regardless
of which application is focused at the time the line arrives. I have
directly urged Microsoft accessibility contacts to prioritize this
issue as recently as last week.

Btw, the scripts I wrote for Skype will not work with Lync or SfB;
they are internally very different. Use the SfB scripts with Skype for
Business and my Skype scripts with Skype. I admit I regard the name
change from Lync to SfB as unfortunate and confusing, but I'm just one
guy...

Hi,

WE have used Office Communicator 2007 and while it wasn't completely
smooth, it did seem to work with Jaws although it could have been more
polished with scripts.

WE now use Skype for Business which does not work as well, I can
barely use it, but I have not yet tried trying to force the Skype
scripts in on that application.

I don't have any experience with Communicator 2005 I thought we were
old school when we had 2007.

You may also want to contact Dug Lee, I know he has some experience
and knowledge about these products, and he could script them for you
if that is what you needed and if you could hire him.

Best,
Mika
