Mr. Buhrow,

Congratulations on your presidency! I'm sure your leadership will help
this division to do many great things. I'm proud to be a part of it.
You asked for suggestions, and I only have one. As a financially
stressed student about to enter college on a STEM major, I think it
would be wonderful if the CS division would consider contributing a
scholarship to the many that NFB offers. Blind people are so
underrepresented in the computer science field, and part of that is
because a lot of us are financially unable to pay for technology etc.
The Department of Rehab helps with this, but there are often
roadblocks to gaining their support, so it would be awesome if the CS
division could provide a scholarship or piece of technology of some
sort. Of course, this depends on the resources available to the CS
division. I hope that, if a scholarship is not a possibility at this
time, it could be in the future. Thanks so much for taking the time to
read this. Congratulations again on your presidency!

Best,
Cricket Bidleman
