[nfbcs] 2016 Meeting of the NFB in Computer Science

Greetings:

I am pleased to tell you that the agenda for the 2016 meeting of the NFB in
Computer Science <https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/sgctxz>  is now available
for download. Our meeting will be held on Saturday, July 2, from 12:30 to
5:00 p.m., in conjunction with the 2016 convention of the National
Federation of the Blind, at the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel in Orlando,
Florida. Everyone is invited. You are also invited to become a member of our
organization by paying dues of $5.

Highlights of our meeting include:

*	An update from our Jernigan Institute about its work to improve
accessibility for the blind
*	A presentation by Anne Taylor from Microsoft explaining how the
corporation's accessibility efforts are improving now and in the future
*	A panel discussion about the current state and future prospects of
access technology for the blind
*	A talk by a blind app developer and the exciting work in which he is
engaged

This being an even-numbered year, officers and board members of the NFB in
Computer Science are up for election. The current officers and board members
are:

President, Curtis Chong
Vice President, Steve Jacobson
Secretary, Louis Maher
Treasurer, Susie Stanzel
Board member, Brian Buhrow
Board member, Jim Barbour
Board member, Lloyd Rasmussen

Anyone who pays their dues is eligible to participate in the election of
officers and board members.

I look forward to seeing all of you at this year's meeting in Orlando.
