Louis,

Have you tried 995 for your imap.gmail.com?
I have always used 995 for sbcglobal and swbell.

Louis,

Google thinks that if it is not Google it is insecure. There is an option
in the Gmail preferences that lets you make your account available to less
secure clients and such. If you look through your mail options on the GMAIL
website you will find them, but if you can't I will try to be more specific.
I had to deal with this a couple of months ago.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Subject: [nfbcs] Connecting a gmail e-mail account to Outlook 2016

Folks,

I am trying to connect a gmail e-mail account to my Outlook 2016 e-mail
client. My internet provider is AT&T, and my e-mail domain is swbell.net.
Google insists that my client is insecure. My Outlook 2016 e-mail settings
are:

Incoming = imap.gmail.com
Port = 993
Requires SSL = Yes

Outgoing = smtp.gmail.com
Port = 465 or 587
Requires SSL = Yes
Requires Authentication = Yes
Same settings as incoming

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Louis Maher
