[nfbcs] Database diagrams

I need to design a database. Are there any quick reliable methods of doing
this? So far, I have used plant uml. However, it is slow and somewhat
problematic because it renders itself useless for database design. If there
is something different, I will consider using it since there is no longer
time to experiment with preprocessing, and a simple 6 table database
shouldn't have to take 1 week of design work to finish.
