[nfbcs] Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification

Greetings:

In my experience, the test will require the help of a sighted reader
inasmuch as the software being used is essentially an emulation of Office.
As a person who teaches a lot of blind people how to use the computer, I
think that Microsoft Office Specialist certification for those of us who
train blind consumers is vastly overrated. It's a great challenge if you
like that sort of thing, however.

Good Morning All,
Some of you may know me, I am Rich Cavallaro.
I teach adaptive technology in Richmond Virginia.
Along with me, my two other fellow AT specialists are being asked by
management to prepare and take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
Certification in Microsoft Word,Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
Has anyone on this list taken these tests-any tips on how to prepare
besides looking at the Microsoft books and taking practice tests?
We of course teach using keystrokes although it looks like a lot of it
requires one to know how to do things nonvisually?
Thankyou all for any input on this.
