Thank you Steve. I'm glad they are pushing
the update, getting it from the web site was unnecessairy, especially when
they have the ability to push it.

Subject: [nfbcs] Update on JAWS Update

In the note forwarded below, I provided information regarding the JAWS
update, and I mentioned that it was only available by going to the website.
I tried this myself with JAWS 18 build 4321 last night and found that to be
the case. I gather something may have changed overnight and that the update
is apparently being pushed out now and that one can get it using the "Check
for Update" option. Either a number of us misunderstood the references to
this in the Podcast, or possibly discussion of this topic has caused there
to be a change in the plan. In my experience, this update does correct the
problem with autocompletion of addresses in Outlook that had been a problem.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

I don't know if this has been posted here, but the new JAWS update is now
available, and it does not show up in Check for Updates nor are you prompted
to update. This is the update that was mentioned a few days ago that should
fix the problem of JAWS not announcing the autocompleting of addresses in
Outlook. This seems to only happen in the most recent version of Office
365. From the Podcast I listened to, they didn't feel this update would
affect many people.

One can download it at:

http://www.freedomscientific.com/Downloads/JAWS

and you will have to choose 32-bit or 64-bit. If you don't know which to
choose, The web page tells you which kind of computer it has detected, and
there are also instructions provided.

I have not tried the update yet, but I do know that Public Beta 2 did
correct the problem with autocompleting addresses in Outlook, so I imagine
this version will also correct the problem.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
