Just a couple of things regarding Nicole's message.
2. IN regards to changing the config option, be aware that the one you
actually need to change is not the first one that pops up in the list
when you type "autostart" into the search box. I'm running firefox
59.0.2 portable edition, and on that one the option you need is actually
the third option on the list (arrow down twice). The name of the option
is browser.tabs.remote.autostart; set it to false if it isn't already. I
don't guarantee I'm right here, but it looks like that change causes a
single process to start initially instead of several. (I had 6 start on
my personal machine.) The first option in the list doesn't affect that.
