Hello:

     Personally, I like an 80 cell display for desktop use. It is very handy
when writing code. This is especially true for modern languages where
indentation is required. For school, a notetaker with a 32 cell display
worked well for me. As has already been stated, the smaller displays can be
paired with iPhones. Hope this helps.
