[nfbcs] Hummingbird and braille

In this case, the server is my work desktop, and the scripts are there.  
The same scripts are on my laptop.
What puzzles me is why braille is not behaving the same way on both
machines, when Jaws, the Jaws scripts, and the emulator are all the same,
and the emulator setup is the same, so far as I can tell.  I don't know
where to look.

Just covering all bases with this one; apologies if I say something
blatantly obvious. :)

When you use RDP, the scripts need to be located on the server to which you
are connecting, not on your local machine. In the unlikely event this is not
the case, this could explain the different behavior.

I asked about scripts because I remember having to work through a situation
like this with my Skype scripts years ago. Unfortunately, by now I don't
remember any details, including what I did to fix it.

Are there active scripts when you are in this terminal program? What do you
see in the Script Manager if you type Ins+0, using the 0 above the letter p
that is, while in the emulator? If you do this, just close the Script
Manager when done with Alt+F4. Do not save any changes.

display.  The braille behaves differently between Remote Desktop and real
desktop on the laptop.

desktop are the same, though Hummingbird's font settings just say larger and
smaller, so I can't tell the exact size, and it does make a difference in
how well Jaws reads the screen.

The speech is OK in both places; it's the braille that's all wonky.

 

Can anyone point me in a useful direction?  I have not asked the charmers at
Jaws Tech Support yet.  From past experience, their knowledge of remote
desktop and terminal emulation is nonexistent.
