Hello:

     SQL (System Query Language) is used to create databases and extract
selected information. 
Tableau is, if I understand correctly used to present information visually.
BookShare has lots of books on SQL and Tableau. Hope this helps.

The subject summarizes my question. I've heard of the above programs, but 
don't really understand exactly what they do. I believe they interact with 
databases somehow. I am considering applying for a job that would require 
me to learn these programs. Any information appreciated.
