[NFBCS] Accessible MySQL Programming Tool

Hi, I am looking for a good accessible MySQL development tool such as
MySQL Workbench. I am going through training to eventually be
contracted out, and everyone is using MySQL workbench, however, I have
found workbench to be barely accessible enough to make it work. Is
there a alternative to workbench that someone has experience with?
