Hi all especially Tracey.

As a point of context, I work with Office Of The Chief Information
Officer here in NL Canada so it is the provincial government
department responsible for information technology so I basically work
in a building supporting workstations used by various sorts of
programmers and other developpers, and it amazes me the amount that
some of these co-workers actually don't know about the workstation on
the desk in front of them and as a result what these people request to
have done with their workstations and what actually needs to be done
to solve a problem are distinctly different, I've been working in
government for 13 years, 4 in dept of education and the last 9 in this
building, this has become increasingly evident as I just started
training 2 new co-workers as computer support specialists in the
building.

The only reason I am even bothering to share that little vent of
frustration in a group dominated by the sorts of people I just spoke
of is because I am concerned in this case that Tracey has been given
partially incorrect information.

You can setup a new pc right out of the box using narrator, you can do
it with all versions of win 10, it was possible to do it even as far
back as windows xp, 7, 8, and now 10.

At win 10/1709 the keystroke for narrator changed so depending upon
what build of win 10 you have alt+ctrl+enter may not work so I'd
recommend use windows key+u to bring up the utility manager and then
when you hear utility manager speaking tab over to start narrator.

Of course, if you were doing a windows re-install of xp, 7, and likely
8 you needed an attend file to go with your media, whereas, with win
10 you can use narrator to do it as narrator is built into the media
itself as long as you have an usb headset.

If you have an iPhone, you can also use be my eyes to read your lcd as
long as you have a vague idea of how it is layed out or you can also
use the ms disability answer desk to help if you don't know how it is
layed out and you need more suffisticated guidance.

Tracey, if I can be of any further assistance please feel free to
reach out directly.

I can also share my iPhone if you want to facetime or chat,
evenings/week-ends are okay.

For now, I should get back to work.

Good luck and hth.
