Hi Haoran.
That's a tricky question, and has different answers at different times.
I think you should let your team lead know before you show up, and it's
essential if you will be needing any accomodations.
How will you connect to their system? Will you be bringing your own laptop,
or will you need to install a screen reader on one of theirs?
Will you be expected to connect through Citrix, which is quite common and is
a problem for screen readers?
Will you need to read papers and fill out forms when you get there? There
are still an amazing number of print forms.
Just things you might want to consider beforehand.
Good luck with your internship. May it be fruitful and lead to even greater
things.
Tracy

Subject: [NFBCS] How/when is it a good time to disclose
Hello all,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I am wondering when is it a good time to disclose my disability.
I am starting an internship this summer and have been exchanging emails
with my team lead, and I was thinking of what is the best way to disclose
my blindness.
I am wondering does anyone have any advise in how/when to go about this?
Thanks,
Haoran
