I have

systemctl start brltty

Then I

systemctl enabled brltty

I believe this will work but doesn't. I will check my braille display type
and brltty interface.

A correction, brltty must also be running and not just be installed.
You can check and enable brltty with systemd.
Googling brltty along with your exact model name will probably also give you
definitive info about support on linux, though at a glance they do seem to
be supported.
